Bamfield is located on the southern tip of Barkley Sound, known for its exceptional beauty and world-class fishing. Many folks who visit the area bring their own boat for a more self-guided experience or you may choose to charter a local guide for the full fishing experience.

Bamfield is located at the north end of the West Coast Trail but there is no shortage of other trails and paths throughout the area. Whether you are interested in an overnight venture or just want a quick stroll around the neighbourhood, there is something for everyone.

Bamfield is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world! We may be biased but they truly are incredible. Our personal favourite, Brady’s beach, is a short 20 minute walk from the Bamfield Lodge and is a must see during your visit!
GETTING HERE
The quaint seaside town of Bamfield is located approximately 200 km from Victoria. The Bamfield Lodge is located on the “west side” of the Bamfield Inlet and is accessible by boat only. Whether you plan to travel by road, by sea, or by air, we promise you that getting here is half the fun.
